Playing solo is something I have done for my whole 25 year career as a musician. I love the sound I can get just from my voice and guitar. When I left Dexer Grove In 2004 all I wanted to do was play solo. So I went into The Magic Shop in New York City and banged out an album in 48 hours. I still hold "Beauty & Pain" dear to my heart and will always see it as a healing moment in my life. "Beauty & Pain" was nominated in 2005 in 4 categories by the Academy and added to the 48th Annual Grammy Awards entry ballot. After a couple of years of national touring and an album with Ruha I went back into the studio in 2007 to satisfy my solo jones. Once again in 48 hours @ OneEast Recording in NYC I recorded 26 songs for my next solo album. Only 12 made the album and the rest may see the light of day soon. The album "Charley Orlando" was released and I hit the road to support it. Once again the Academy nominated this album to the 50th annual Grammy entry ballot in 3 categories.
