Ruha was born out of dream to record an album that I've always wanted to record.  I hand chose the musicians that I have played with and hung with for my whole career.  This project was very dear to my heart and came out exactly how I wanted it to.  The original line up of Todd Wright on Guitar, Brad Schirmer on Bass, Cris Noel on Backing Vocals, Mauirce Jones on Drums, and Sean Bowen on Violin worked flawlessly in studio and out of the studio to hone the arrangements and sound.  The recording started in 2005 and 2 years later the album "The Dust That Lands" was released.  in 2007 "The Dust That Lands" was nominated in 3 categories and enter on the 50th annual Grammy ballot by the Academy.   Ruha only play live a handful of times changing drummers from Mauirce Jones to Eric Wilson to Jim Loughlin.  After going their seperate ways in May of 2007 Ruha still remains a wonderful dream for me and maybe sometime it will awake again.
